If you don’t know what to stand on today, if your feelings are attempting to take over and you’re not sure how to paste your smile on in the midst of your valley- don’t.
Just find the One who is the rock.
He’ll do the work of being strong.
You’ll do the work of allowing Him to take over.
Rest for your spirit will come. The authentic smile may or may not return at once, but it will return as safety offered from the Rock seeps in to the dark spaces of the crushing news.
If I know anything to be true, I know that we will be surrounded with darkness all the days of our earthly lives, but that when we remember to link arms with Jesus, His light is enough to light up the space around us on our walk.
Where there is light, there cannot be darkness. It’s safe to keep walking through my __________ path when my arms are linked with his.
He’s still good. He still sees more than we see. He’s the safe place. We’ll walk in light as long as we’re close enough to Him. If it’s hurting I’ll remember to scoot in a little closer until the light is again surrounding me.
